KUPATY are traditional Georgian sausages, which have long been a favourite dish for thousands of Ukrainians. I mean, our ancestors used to make sausages like this. Only then they were called shpikachki, not kupaty. So today we talk about our adaptation of Ukrainian-Georgian delicacy, which is worth to everyone. Especially during picnic season.

How is kupaty prepared?

Kupaty sausage is made in our production as follows:

  1. First of all, pork intestines are soaked in cold water with added vinegar and soda;
  2. Ground meat is made from minced pork and beef. Spices and other ingredients are added;
  3. The prepared intestines (which must be natural) are filled with minced meat in such a way that every 15 cm is tied with thread;
  4. The sausage is then soaked in boiling water for 20 seconds and sent to the packing terminal;

Of course, the process of making such sausages is not the easiest, but it is one of the best additions to the picnic you can buy in our shops.

Which kupaty can be found in the upp?

The spicy version of sausages is made of beef and pork. The ingredients include such spices as paprika, cumin, and garlic. Those who like spicy and gentle sausages will like them. Keep them in the fridge for a maximum of eight days. They are sold in vacuum containers, so such a delicacy will be convenient to take on the road.

A more classical version of sausage is the Beef Baths. Beef is made of butter, milk, and a mixture of spices: white pepper, mayoral, parsley, carrot, and parsnip. Sausages will be enjoyed by those who like a tender taste without excessive fat and spices. It is better to choose cream or cheese sauces for such sausages.

Which meat is better to choose for kupaty?

We use high-quality raw materials for sausages. This is 84% of trimmed meat to which we also add lard to make the sausages juicier. After all, if you use a tenderloin, the product will be dry.

Also, do not forget about the quality and freshness of the raw materials. After all, the taste of sausages depends on it. Often in stores, you can find kupaty with a very large amount of spices, but this only overrides the taste of the meat and hides its flaws. Therefore, we use a moderate amount of spices in our delicacies so that you can feel both the taste of fresh farm meat and the aroma of herbs.

Since sausages have a very short shelf life (only 8 days if stored at temperatures from 0 °C to + 4 °C), you can be sure that the product does not contain impurities and artificial preservatives.

With what to eat kupaty?

This is a fairly independent dish that will be appropriate both as lunch and as a main course for a picnic. Our kupaty can be baked in the oven with any side dishes, but most of all, of course, they are suitable for outdoor recreation.
