Sausage storage rules

You know that we produce sausages without adding various additives. The peculiarity of our delicacies is that they are completely natural. Therefore, the shelf life of meat products is much shorter than in most sausages. Today we will share with you the rules for storing our sausages so that you can enjoy your favorite delicacies and take maximum benefit from them.

 

Rule #1

Do not freeze the sausage

At the very least, this is not necessary. After all, we deliver fresh sausages and meat to our stores every day, and therefore there is no need to buy goodies in advance. And if you want to buy more, you can always ask our sellers to vacuum the slices. Vacuuming allows you to store the product twice as long as without packaging.

Most of them lose their taste and change their structure. Therefore, you will not be able to fully enjoy the taste of natural sausage.

 

Rule #2

Do not store sausage in plastic

If you buy sausages, then it is obvious that they will be in their own branded casing. Either it is a natural casing or artificial from fresh materials — all of them are created precisely to preserve the sausage. Therefore, you should not take it off and wrap it in a regular plastic bag.

If you have already cut a sausage stick, then the cut edge can be wrapped with cling film or paper. This will prevent the sausage from drying out and retain its taste.

The same story with slicing. If you bought a sliced sausage, it should be wrapped either in cling film or in special food paper. Do not wrap in a bag. Polyethylene only speeds up the deterioration of the product.

 

Rule # 3

Remember to read the storage conditions

How often do you read the storage conditions for sausages? Yeah, rarely. We are already accustomed to reading the composition and choosing products that are free of additives and especially MMOs. However, learning to read the storage conditions is also super important. In the worst case — to put your health in danger. Because natural sausages are often stored for a short period, so you may not know that the sausage bought a week ago has already gone bad.

Each sausage has its expiration date. Boiled is less preserved. For example, our “Doctor’s sausage” stays fresh for only 3 days without packaging, in packaging, or in a vacuum — 15 days.

Smoked sausage, say, Drohobych sausage, is stored longer — 15 days without packaging and 25 days in a package.

And dry-cured delicacies stay fresh longer. One of our most popular sausages “Parmska” can be stored for 45 days without packaging and as many as 120 days in packaging or vacuum.

Of course, every meat delicacy should be kept in the refrigerator at +4 ℃. However, do not forget that the product may have some special storage conditions and they must be indicated on the label or packaging. Don’t forget to review this information.
